Our Vision
We strive to raise quality horses and mules that are not only appealing to the eye but are willing to please those that are handleing them.
We do have some geldings by the late Hollywood Niner, featured on our Home Page. Our mules are by the outstanding jack "Horseshoe Hill Colonel".

I, Judy Hodge-Smith, started raising dogs over 30 years ago; caring and nurturing young animals has always been a passionate force in my life. This enabled me to stay home with my two boys during the years when they were young and growing. As a family, we raised and showed halter horses and enjoyed many other aspects of the horse world, such as trail riding, 4-H, and all of the extra work that would keep two highly active young boys busy.
After losing... my husband to cancer, I expanded my kennel operation because of my love for the dogs. I felt that this would work as I had a growing interest from the public and many return customers. New clients seemed to call weekly with stories to tell about the amazing pets they'd seen at the homes of friends, and wondering if we had more of these beautiful puppies!
My passion... for the animals and hard work seemed to pay off!
In the spring...of 2004 I married a long time friend,Lex Smith, who had lost his wife to cancer. He also has a passion for the animals, and has been raising stock dogs and training and raising horses and mules for most of his adult life.
Together we plan to bring to the public the very best companion, puppies, horses and mules, that we can produce. We select the best males and the best females striving to produce the finest animals that nature can provide. We have multiple bloodlines to select from to keep the gene pool clean and strong. Occasionally, we add a male or female to our dog breeding program but only if they meet the high standards that we insist on maintaining at Luv Kennels.
Our desire...is to give to the public a healthy puppy, horse or mule that is visually appealing, provides a great personality, and is of the highest quality possible. We want our loving puppies to have a loving home, as well as our horses and mules and always strive to match temperaments and personalities with families as we want both the family, and the puppy, horse or mule to have the perfect home.
